An inland walk should be chosen for the people doing it, not for the photograph at the end. Look at the full route, elevation, surface and daylight before you leave. A shorter walk done comfortably is worth more than an ambitious circuit that ends in a rush.

Pazin and Beram · Route 711

The tourist board publishes a Pazin–Beram–Pazin route. Use its current map and route details to decide whether the full circuit suits you. Combine walking with Beram only after checking access for any church visit; do not build the day around an unconfirmed opening.

Gračišće · St Simeon, route 701

The St Simeon route links the landscape below Gračišće with rural paths and the Sopot area. It includes descending terrain: it is not simply a flat village promenade. Check the official route, your footwear and conditions before choosing it.

Borut to Draguć · St Silvester, route 706

This published route connects Borut and Draguć. Work out your return before starting rather than assuming there will be a convenient transfer. Carry sufficient water, keep to marked public paths and leave gates, fields and private property as you find them.
